Is That An Alien?

I'm a bit behind on posting, but I'll get back into the swing of it!

Whimper

“Is that an alien?” Mark whispered to Sean, who was standing next to him.

“I think so. I mean look at his head. It’s huge,” Sean commented.

Mark suddenly felt nervous. He had been waiting for this moment his whole life. This was, after all, the reason why he joined the space exploration program in the first place. Mark’s palms were sweating. What if I say the wrong thing? He asked himself. The last thing he wanted was to cause a war. “Get a handle on yourself,” he muttered under his breath. Mark walked up to the pale humanoid who was looking at him curiously and opened his mouth to say, “Hello”, but it came out as a whimper instead. He felt instantly embarrassed, but that feeling was quickly replaced by fear when the alien’s color suddenly turned red and it charged him.
